Community Involvement

At Spectrum Financial Resources, we enjoy being involved in our community.  Outside of the office, our staff donates their time to supporting local organizations such as charities, city governments and recreational groups.

Charity Support

We are active within many local charities, providing donations and volunteer support.  Some of the charities we support include, Forgotten Harvest, Macomb Oakland Guardianship Inc., Turning Point, the Stratford Festival and the Macomb-Oakland Regional Center.

Forgotten Harvest is a non-profit food rescue organization that collects food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it free of charge to organizations feeding the hungry in Metro Detroit. In 2015, this nonprofit distributed more than 40 million pounds of food to more than 260 emergency food providers. Spectrum has been a proud sponsor for many years helping fight the fight combating hunger and food waste.

Our company president, Daniel Hoban, also serves as board president of the Macomb Oakland Guardianship Inc (MOGI). They serve as court appointed guardians and advocates for mentally disabled adults.

Community Government

Many members of our staff belong to their city government and contribute to their community through sponsoring events, charities and providing leadership.  Members of our team belong to the Troy Chamber of Commerce, Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce and Birmingham-Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce.

Through these organizations our staff has participated in Miles for Smiles, charity bike rides for Make-A-Wish and National MS Society and CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) Hunger Walk.

Giving Back

Our staff gives back to the community by volunteering their time and talents.  One of our advisors is a Little League coach for the Clinton Macomb League.  Another advisor is a member of the Bloomfield Historical Society, helping to preserve the historical elements of Oakland County.

Our advisers value community and offer support within their local neighborhoods through charities, city government and other pastimes.
