Matt Nelson

Matthew Nelson joined Spectrum Financial Resources in August 2024 as an Advisor Assistant. While supporting Dan Hoban, Matthew is actively studying to become a financial advisor, combining his natural talent for client service with his passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.

Matthew's career in client-focused roles began early—at just 13 years old he started caddying at Lochmoor Country Club, where he first discovered his enjoyment in assisting others. This foundation led him to pursue professional sales positions, beginning at Men's Warehouse at age 20, where he developed valuable skills in building client rapport and trust.

His professional journey continued through roles in electronics and telecommunications sales, further honing his communication and relationship-building abilities. Most recently, Matthew spent nine successful years as a sales professional at Parkway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram before transitioning to the financial services industry.

Outside of work and his ongoing professional studies, Matthew values time with friends and family, enjoys traveling with his wife, and seeks out opportunities to play golf whenever his busy schedule permits.
