Dave is an Investment Advisor Representative at Spectrum Financial Resources, bringing an abundance of experience from seven years of running his own wealth management practice. An estate planning attorney, Dave's unique skill set is instrumental in addressing the income and retirement planning needs of his clients. He takes a personalized approach, carefully understanding each client's investment objectives and risk tolerances to create balanced portfolios that emphasize safety, growth, and income.
Dave earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Kalamazoo College. After spending four years in the property-casualty insurance business, he attended The Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he graduated in 1999. During law school, he gained valuable experience working at the Sixty-Plus Elder Law Clinic, serving the tax and estate planning needs of lower-income residents. Post-graduation, Dave worked as an associate at a prominent estate planning law firm in metro Detroit. In 2001, he left corporate practice to become more involved in his clients' financial lives. Dave has also served as an adjunct professor of law at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Dave holds industry credentials with the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Financial Planning Association of Michigan. He has presented seminars to thousands of attendees throughout the metro area, including organizations like AAA of Michigan, ELGA Credit Union, General Motors, ALCOS, Cambridge, and Washtenaw ISD. His practice primarily focuses on the planning needs of those 50 years and older.
